About Puja
Devutthana Ekadashi, also known as Dev Uthani Ekadashi, Prabodhini Ekadashi and Devauthana Ekadashi, is one of the most sacred days dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It is observed on the eleventh lunar day (Ekadashi) of the Shukla Paksha in the Hindu month of Kartika. According to Hindu tradition, this auspicious day marks the awakening of Lord Vishnu from His four-month cosmic sleep (Yoga Nidra), known as Chaturmasya. It also marks the beginning of an auspicious period for traditional Hindu ceremonies and celebrations.
Spiritual Significance
Devotees believe that worshipping Lord Vishnu on this day brings divine grace, spiritual purification and blessings. It is an occasion to renew faith, practise self-discipline, seek forgiveness for past mistakes and develop positive thoughts. The day is also associated with Tulsi Vivah, the ceremonial marriage of Goddess Tulsi and Lord Vishnu in His Shaligram form.
